Strawberries, the Drive-in and more Summertime Fun

We are about to start our Summer travels, so I wanted to update my blog before everyone really thinks I've fallen off the face of the Earth.  The following pictures are mere snippets from the fun we've been having since school got out.

We picked our strawberries before the rabbits got them all

Making strawberry jam to have on homemade rolls for Family Home Evening

A couple weeks ago we went to the classic Blue Fox Drive-In to see Kung Fu Panda with a couple of my siblings.  Actually I think this was another FHE.

The whole gang before the show.  Dad let us borrow his truck for the full effect!  Next time we'll go all out and put a mattress in the back like Aunt Sar and Uncle Kyle did.

Sisterly LOVE

Uncle Danny keeping the kids busy until the sun finally disappeared.

One of the neighboring cars felt the need to provide pre-movie music (well mostly bass) so Sar and Asher decided to bust some moves!

This was Mike getting creative with duct tape to stabilize Asher's busted collarbone so he could go swimming.  What would we do without duct tape?

Classy

During one of their dress-up sessions Haven found our giraffe costume.  She walked in with it on and said, "Still fits, except for the mittens!"  If you look closely you'll notice the mittens are at her elbows.  Who cares if the costume is for a 6-12 month old.

Cool strawberry pic. Awesome duct tape ingenuity. Haven's going to be a trend-setter when she is older!!

I love how kids seem to think if you can get something on, no matter how tight it is, it still fits! Haven looks great!

we made a bunch of freezer jam too, but the problem is...it's almost all gone! haven is so cute, too bad we all don't look that cute in clothes that are 6 sizes too small :)

our rabbits really did get the bulk of our strawberries. Super disappointing, but our plants are small. next year we'll have more, right?! Great times. I love the drive-in and the giraffe picture with haven. Impressive that she got it on! I feel tight just looking at her!!

and congrats to Mike on his triathlon! that is awesome. Isn't it fun to cheer them on!? I think I'd rather be the cheerleader than the racer, myself. :)
