With the boys away, the girls did play!

Mike took Asher to visit Grandma Bauer in Arizona for her 81 st birthday a couple weeks ago. When I told the girls that Daddy was going to take Asher and that we were going to have a lot of fun while they were gone, Halle's response was, "you mean like a grownup girls weekend without kids?" After a good laugh the girls started to list all kinds of fun things we could do without kids (Asher). Our weekend included a trip to the Science Center, dinner at Red Robin and a movie night. Needless to say, it was a exciting AND exhausting weekend.

Mike and Asher had a ton of fun in AZ as well. They spent time in the pool (since it was in the 90s during their visit), fed the birds in grandmas backyard, made grandma a birthday cake and went out to dinner to celebrate. They also got to spend time with Mike's uncle, Tom and his son Justice. Asher loved to the airplanes at the airport, but didn't especially appreciate the ride.

These trips are never long enough, we'll miss you Grandma

Ok... I guess those are some pretty good reasons for not calling me back. Looks like a ton of fun. I love how Halle gets so jazzed about "grown-up" time. Haven's mirror picture is priceless. Asher is ridiculously cute/awesome. And I could def see Mike sporting a full-on beard. Oh, and you all around rock.

Sounds like fun for all. :)
And I'm sure exhausting too. I'll bet it was nice to have everybody home again.
