Mike's First Tri and Important Instructions from the Lady in Charge

I mentioned in my last post that Mike competed in his first triathlon on June 21st.  He did awesome and I'm so proud of him.  He has been training consistently for the past couple months.  His dedication and determination is something I've always loved about Mike. When he decides to do something, he writes up his goals, sets up a schedule and gets to work.  I wish I always did the same.  Anyway, the race consisted of a 1/2 mile swim, 11.5 mile bike and 2.5 mile run.  He's been training with my brother Dustin, and a few guys from church, Eric, Russ and Randy.  They made a great team!

Mike and his biggest fans

The second part of this post took place about two weeks ago.  I was watching Sarah's kids while she went to a meeting and Halle took it upon herself to set some boundaries.  I'm sure this was prompted by our marker incident last month (if you are not familiar with this 'incident' look back a couple posts).  Anyway, Halle made signs and stuck them on all the doors that let the kids know which rooms they were aloud to go in.  Pretty funny.

The kids receive their instructions from the boss lady.

This sign was found on my door, the craft room door, and the girl's door.

This is Asher's door.  Too bad Halle is the only one who can read her signs :)

Halle also made the upstairs bathroom a girl's bathroom, my bathroom was the boy's bathroom and the downstairs bathroom was for both.  I love the illustrations!

I love it when the kids make signs to show whose rooms belong to whom.

That's a good idea on the signs. What a smartie. I should start posting those in my house too.
